My friend, it sounds like things are hard for you right now. I offer prayers to Jesus to send his spirit of comfort, courage, and calming to you. The Holy Spirit is actually already there within you. Lie still and feel his holy presence.
I once heard the Spirit’s words in a time of great fear, sadness and bitter loss for me, “All will be well.” Just four words that changed my life. God was no longer just someone I heard about in church, He became real and personal. Powerful, timely, and with words specifically for me. Wow, was I blown away. It was not the only time the Divine spoke.
We both need to trust him right now. My wife is suffering from a bad cold and last night had a serious asthma-type breathing problem. She struggled to inhale for 10 minutes. It scared us both. I felt so helpless. Tonight, I am in bed listening in case it happens again. I have to trust God amid my uncertainty and concern, as do you. Come, Holy Spirit, reassure us that those words still apply regardless of outcomes. Help my friend and I both to have faith.
