Crafts & Quilt Guild

We are a group of St. Paul’s ladies who meet twice a month to quilt, put seasonal flowers on the altar; sometimes do craft projects for the church, organize the kitchen or pantry, but mostly make prayer quilts for members of St. Paul’s or anyone who needs a little extra comfort & prayers.

The quilt guild was started over 20 years ago by Debbie Stanton, a former member and amazing quilter. The guild has given nearly 800 quilts to so many people; not just church members, but people all over the United States. All of our fabric has been donated as well as the yarn with which to tie them. Once a quilt is finished it is packed away until the need arises. Then, our Priest blesses it and it is put on the pew at the back of the Nave for members to tie and say a prayer as they leave the church.

Sewing is not a prerequisite. Anyone, male or female, may join. There is so much involved in making a prayer quilt. It is a way to get together and do something nice for someone who really needs it.

Join us every other Monday from 11:00am – 2:00pm. Our next gathering will be May 18, 2026.
